Any case studies of this? I'm curious as to why this would be the case.

I don't have one off hand, but the LGBT community is at higher risk for STD's. This is why the aids epidemic spread through the gay community so quickly in the 90's. The reason I've been told is that since there is no risk of pregnancy, the likelyhood of intercourse without a condom is greater.

Plus also reason #3, I have a gf which I adore.....should be reason #1 LOL

That risk is within everyone with mandy different sexpartners. In the 18th and 19th century it mainly was a problem for wealthy men and by far more for men than women.

Problem with aids was, there seemed no need for condoms etc. because things like syphilis didn't play a major role anymore in the eighties.

The combination of promiscuity with insufficient protection is what raises the risks.

What's your point? Still means that transexuals are more likely to have STD's

That doesn't mean there is a higher risk of getting an STD then. You'd have complete control over whether you used a condom or not so it would be you deciding whether to take the risk or not, it wouldn't be there by default.

Many STD's can be transferred orally, and when you're married (ideally) the condom goes away.
