Haven't we? Are you taking VGC as 'fact'? Fact: last January (according to VGC) the XB1 outsold the PS4 every week. Fact: according to Amazon VGC was wrong and NPD proved it. Fact: Amazon have been right every single time. Fact: this happened in more than just January. Fact: Amazon has the PS4 beating the XB1 this month in the US. I too prefer to only deal in facts.

Fact. PS4 hasn't beaten the Xbox One in the US since October.
