X1 has the advantage of hitting a massive 10-12M franchise against a 4-7M one in the holidays.

wii u has the advantage of having games already released that sell millions every year + lower price.

Sorry, but that didn't made X1 break a sweat and it just passed Wii U and put 2M units ahead like it was nothing. Nintendo used their biggest hits. MS still didn't used Halo or Gears. Next year PS4 and X1 will bring the big guns and the advantage will be even bigger. Price advantage is relative. X1 was cheaper these holidays. Now it is their default price. They will bundle some big games and will have a price advantage, something that will probably be followed by PS4. They will drive Wii U down YOY.

and nintendo isnt in a direct armsrace vs a superior console...

why should you buy a xbox for cod or any other multiplatt if you can get the game in 1080p for 50$ more?

Looking at the fact that more people bought a X1 in 1 year than a Wii U in 2 shows that a lot of people don't care and want a Xbox.

And why should you buy a Wii U for CoD or any other multiplat if it won't get the game or will get a 720p/sub-HD port and you will just save 50 to 100 bucks compared to the other consoles? Gamers are in for multiplats. Exclusives are a nice bonus, but they won't define the buy.
