Not all Nintendo fans are exclusive, we own other consoles and won't short ourselves (ie buying inferior versions of games) just because we are Ninty fans first.
Problem is Nintendo's terrified of M$, its the reason they won't compete in that market anymore. No matter what Nintendo does, they feel M$ will overpower, out market and outdo them. Then you have Sony in the mix who has always whooped Ninty, and you see why they ditched that market. For weak 3rd party support/performance, if anyone is to blame its Nintendo, for not properly setting the table with its inferior HW and features. Ninty no try, we no buy. sayonara!
With both the casual and mainstream gaming market clogged up, it'll be interesting to see what Nintendo does next. Obviously, what many are predicting is the Fusion concept, which is Nintendo carving out its own niche once again. Nintendo is desperate to find that mid-tier sweet spot between casual and PSXB. Its why many of us expect Nintendo to "circle the wagons" by supporting itself combining home and HH.
