I'm betting the main campaign will be about the same length...
XC took my 55 hours to beat, and I had felt the last 10 hours were purposely "dragging" on to lengthen the campaign. My hope is that XCX doesn't purposely drag an extra 20 hours to bring the campaign length a little longer.
And yes, I did some side quests in XC, just not that many since the story and characters genuinely had me engaged!
