The best way to play gamecube games is with a Wii original model (100% backward compatible wiht gamecube via hardware).
The image quality of gamecube games on Wii is better than with the original gamecube particularly if you use a component cable on Wii (couldn't use any component cable with my PAL gamecube ). And also you'll be guaranteed to play all your gamecube games via the component cable quality.
