Premium product doesnt mean what you think it means. It just means a quality product that people are prepared to pay more for, has nothing to do with MLG/Competative gamers. If he had said premium service I think they could have been called out on the PSN troubles, but he used the phrase premium product.
It's not a word that I particularly like but it can be used when two products are fighting for a similar market and one is able to sell more with a more expensive proce..... It has been suggested for quite a while that the PS4 is a stronger piece of hardware, a better made device, which also has better asthetics (people will agree or disagree). These are all the things that make a premium product.
