The thing with Boyhood is that I think it has potential if you are an average white middle class American. (Maybe add with divorced parents)

Otherwise, it doesn't click and becomes boring as hell.

the movie is just lame, i dont care for any of those people, they are all boring and the boy is a freaking a-hole. and the movie looks bad. they mae it in 12 years, wow congratz you are lazy. birdman on the other hand is freaking great with a nice story, realy good acting and it looks realy great, you feel the movie. same goes for great budapest hotel (havnt seen the rest of the heavy nominate films). the difference to boyhood is, we will watch both films in the future and enjoy em.
