Why ban it? They are free to brag about their awards if they want. The awards may not mean anything, but they did still win them

Because it gives a false impression to the consumer. They didnt win 60 awards for the final product which they are advertising. They won the awards for a few trailers of the game. It's misleading.

Not really. What's the problem with winning awards for that? If people aren't willing to check what the awards were for then that's their own fault.
