I remember when RE4, REmake and RE Zero came out on Gamecube, and even before that Code Veronica on Dreamcast (though both CV and 4 ported over to PS2 fairly quickly). Considering the first three were on PS1, and how huge PS2 was right from the get-go that all RE games would obviously make its way there. My dislike of Capcom really began there I think, along with abandoning Mega Man Legends and twisting Breath of Fire into the nothing it is today.
I remember being frustrated for a long time at Chaotix and Sonic CD being relegated to dead-in-the-water expansions to the Sega Genesis.
There have been multiple instances of a series I like suddenly branch out into handhelds I don't own. Castlevania, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, that Final Fantasy 7 prequel, Resident Evil Revelations & Parasite Eve 3 are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.
Ah, also forgot Kingdom Hearts. That got ridiculous real quick.
