It wouldn't be stupid at all. Smash is meant to be play with 4 players and items on. Doesn't top them from allowing people to turn it off.
Even 30 would be to low for me. 40 at the least. When Naruto has like 80, they need to start high. But I need to see two Pokemon: Toxicroak (obviously) and Electivire. I'll forgive a lot if those two are in.
This game still doesn't fill the "standard fighting game" hole Nintendo has, though. You know what would make a shit ton of money? A Nintendo vs Capcom game. It would be vastly different from both Pokken and Smash, and would do the best job possible at filling Nintendo's much needed fighting game hole.
