i've bought only 2 (star fox and yoshi) and they really need a hook for this, tho i think it's impressive how they're working them into everything now, as you say. amiibo could subsidize quality nintendo game-making for years to come! even without a dedicated or "killer" app (which there'll have to be eventually), they're outselling skylanders and matching infinity.
