well, I'm very curious to see what would happen if sony cut the price to 299. Ireally want to see Sony putting pressure to microsoft and what will microsoft next move be, going for profit or marketshare?, it'll be fun.

Sony is already putting MS under constant pressure. And that pressure will be even worse if the PS4 outsells the XB1 being $50 more expensive for the next 10 months.

One thing is certain, Sony had a very strong well thought out strategy with the PS4 coming into this gen. The are not doing reactionary price drops or feature changes like MS. So what I think is that Sony will keep that $400 price point for as long as it takes them to be able to drop to $299 and still make a profit on the hardware or at least break even. With the 20nm APUs and memory which means cheaper processors and fewer memory blocks they very well may reach that point by the end of the year.

As it stands Ms is probably losing around $60-$80 on every XB1 sold, and were losingalmost twice that on every console they sold during the holiday season. And its not like its making much of a difference for them.

Agree with everything especially the bolded, it's a pleasure to see how Sony have played everything out starting from the last E3, very different from last gen.  I hope they keep their composure straight and keep rolling until the gen ends.
