Nintendo is not really larger now than they were then. inflation wise maybe, but not truly

They have many more investments in building space and hiring potential. They also own outright more studios. Not only that, when you look at their monetary assets (yen in the bank) their growth has outpaced inflation. They are a larger company, and it only makes sense considering their massive growth in capital during the Wii and DS era.
