10) this would be expensive as hell, 40 min. of national TV??? 1 min of publicity on national TV can cost millions, I can only imagine 40 min. 13) this actually is a great idea, done well by Square under Nintendo supervision it would be a MegaTon!!! |
10) Would cover a bunch of games, so the costs could be divided across a few releases of games. 20 minutes of actual TV time would obviously be half the price of that. A one off at Primetime would be great advertizing and with the right personality backing it, it would do wonders for the platform. I admit it's a bit of a long shot thing, maybe something Nintendo should do when they announce a new console, have a properly directed approach to really reveal to the world, outside of just the people that would normally watch Nintendo Directs that Nintendo are back!
13) Occurred to me a while back, I don't necessarily think Nintendo could get Square to do that, but Monolith Soft or even the devs behind Zelda could maybe do it.
Possibly a collaborative effort, built as a similar kind of development approach to Splatoon, after hours, but involving multiple studios. Nintendo has all of the assets from the various games they've made this generation, so the biggest thing to deal with would be the world, even that could be a merging of all of Nintendo's major 3D levels.
With something like Nintendo Universe, an open world Pokemon and the past big hitters, rolling all of that into the Nintendo TV Program Direct thing would be a worthwhile effort and I think Wii U may actually get a decent boost.
N Universe would definitely be a Megaton, I really don't know why Nintendo hasn't made something like that in the past, or especially this generation, because the Wii U could do it justice.
I honestly think Nintendo diehards wouldn't care if Wii U didn't get a Mario game on par with Galaxy 1/2, 64 or Sunshine if it had a release like that!
