Why does it have to be a 3D Metroid on console and 2D on portable? Just because it's a console doesn't mean you can't have a 2.5D or even 2D game. I like to play games on the big screen so if a Metroid did come out, I'd rather have it on console, not portable, and a 2D game, not a sequel to those crappy Metroid Prime games.
