Long story short (and going off my memory) back in the early 90s the Mariners were going to be sold and likely/or relocated and those of us in Seattle and Washington didn't want that to happen, so a bunch of people who would keep the team in Seattle were asked to buy it and save the club--including NOA and the then president of Nintendo, Hiroshi Yamauchi. Yamauchi decided to and was the majority owner of the franchise until 2004 when he sold that stake to Nintendo of America.
Bets:
1. If the Wii U sells closer to 10 million LTD by 1/3/2015 I win. If it sells closer to 9.5 million LTD by 1/3/2015 OfficerRaichu15 wins (winner gets 2 weeks of avatar control)--Lost.
