The US have Kirby, Mario Party 10 and Splatoon as retailgames until end of may. Downloadgames like Mario vs. Donkey Kong dont push hardware yet.
And while Europe is Nintendos weakest market (Wii U hasnt been released in some eastern european countries i think), right now it is stronger in continental europe than Xbone. This is a market with good potential for Nintendo.
And what are they doing? Not even release Kirby.
Mario Party 10 just is no hardware seller, and Splatoon is completely new, without Mario bonus, so it might sell good but it's hard to believe that it will have a noteworthy impact on hardware sales.
The biggest advantage compared to last year are Smash Bros. U and Mario Kart 8. Both longsellers, Both games will sell more or less consoles for years.
On the other hand there simply isnt a new big seller for the first half that will push sales like MK 8 did last year.
