I bet you if Sony thought of achievements first everyone would be all for them. Achievements are fun and addicting and a definite innovation.

Pay up, then. :) Because I think that achievements/trophies are pointless bullshit no matter who's pushing them.   They're either rewards for grinding or "everybody gets a trophy" rewards just for slogging through the game.
