Make up your mind. Does GoW have a great story or not? I'm done with this conversation because I don't even know what we are talking about any more. Do we really need to debate the scale of differences between GoW and Bayo? Really? Do you really need to keep subtly taking shots at Bayo? |
I never took shots at Bayonetta, if you read what I wrote properly at the end I wrote that both franchises should be applauded for what they've brought to the table for hack n slash games. You told me the games were different types of hack and slashes and I disagreed for reasons being that their core combat is the same, but can only be opened by the varied level of player who is inputting. There is plenty to be fleshed out about both of these games.
"I never said it was great, I said if you've read greek mythology, its not far off in how brutal things really were in God of War. "
Context, friend. Context. You took a part of what I was saying and only got half of the meaning (probably because you're not looking for it even in a wealth of text). God of War did its job based on the cards it was dealt with its story and source material. By virtue of its source material, God of War is justified in being bloody, brutal, full of rage and betrayl and unappologetic in its sexual nature. In terms of typical writing or movie screen writing its not great, but for a videogame coupled with the way it was presented it was great for a game. As I mentioned later on, much like Metal Gear Solid the videogame script would have to be edited and adapted for silver screen audiences if people were to get the full gist of both stories.
This has become tiring. I agree. This should end here.
