Every VGC member is (automatically afaik) also a member of gamewise.co.
Back in the day, when gamewise didn't exist yet, all VGC members could contribute directly to the VGC database by adding games, editing game information, adding boxarts and banners etc.. I always liked that feature and added quite a few games, boxarts and some banners during the early VGC years, especially for old PC games which were missing (overall I think I made a few hundred contributions, but there were some members who even made thousands of contributions over the years).
Today we can't edit the game details directly on VGC anymore as all game information (except the numbers it seems) are transferred from the gamewise.co database to VGC.
What many VGC/gamewise members don't know: We can still contribute to the database today, but on gamewise instead of VGC.
Long story short: I just changed the NSMB U genre to "platform" on gamewise.co (and just for the record: I hadn't entered the incorrect genre "action"). The change should be transferred to VGC, I don't know when though.
