@Bold: Except that's not proof of anything.  We used to see 3DS doom threads every day on VGChartz, but look where it is now.

@Super Mario 3D World part: Yes, people were disappointed at its reveal, but that really means nothing given that people also exploded over Bayonetta 2, but nothing really huge happened over that.  And I did not watch e3 until 2012, given I didn't have Internet until 2004, and did not have consoles from 2002~2011.   Even if people were really excited over Twilight Princess, you should be aware of what people think about the game now.

@Wind Waker HD: That's an incongruent comparison, and it would be sad if you didn't realize it.

The 3DS has had successful games, the Wii U gamepad? Not so much. Even Nintendo websites are saying Nintendo should offer a gamepad free Wii U. As are many gaming websites.

Very rarely do you see support for the gamepad. It was a massive mistake.

What Nintendo should have done is create a better version of the GameCube controller, and give the console these specs:

Power7 PC based processor with 3GHz speed and 4 cores, 256KB l2 cache per core with 1 billion transistors

4GB DDR3 RAM at 800MHz

825MHz 28nm GPU with 1GB GDDR5 memory

250GB 7,500RPM disk drive

Regular controller

And then sell it for $349. BOOM!

You missed the point entirely.  Also, not only that, but many websites and articles (early on in the 3DS life) also talked about how "doomed" the 3DS is, and how there is no hope for it.  Do you not remember that?  What my point is is that these things do not prove your point at all.  They do not reflect everyone's opinions.
