But most websites only have information beyond what the official one has POST release. Until then, they get their info FROM the official website (or youtube, which is also embedded on the website). The official website does lose some significance AFTER the game is released, but you could just go get the game from the store after the release. Not the case with Xenoblade Chronicles X.

That's not even remotely true. Most information comes from everywhere else BUT the official website. Typing down Xenoblade Chronicles X on google right now could find you a dozen websites with far more complete sets of information than that website has.

...

Just googled.

That's infinitely more information than the the official site has.

Most (if not all) of everything on Siliconera is taken directly from the website. GameXplain is good for knowing the hidden details of the game (translated names of attacks, and menus) but can only guess at the names of the characters and backgrounds of the characters (just what they translate it to which is sometimes wrong like Lynlee was supposedly named Rin according to GameXplain), the story, tweets from the developer, ect. So half if not more of what you get from GameXplain COULD be completely wrong. Not to mention some of the stuff is common sense, and others are just things they notice that are references to past games (not really info on the game).
