It's really hard to call because if the PS4 does indeed outsell it at a higher price, what the hell do you do? Do you increase your loses? There were rumors of a slim Xbox One.
And as someone mentioned, no one wants to absorb loses just because you can.
To complicate matters, they have now created a situation where the have gutted the perceived value of the console to the point where it CAN NOT be priced at the same level as the PS4.
So if Sony drops the price, they are fucked. They have to announce an future drop BEFORE Sony does otherwise it looks worse when they react.
