I think Awakening was helped by the exemplary critical reaction. Given handheld titles are normally received with less fanfare than home console titles by the media, I expect this pattern to kick in with the new game, and therefore the new Fire Emblem will sell less than Awakening.
I'm going with 1.2 million. I will happily wait to be proven wrong.
