Nah its really an online cooperative game, that's where the heart of the gameplay is, until you play it online starting from scratch with your character you would not be able to get an overall feel of the game.

That is very annoying to hear. Why arent reviewers pointing this out on their reviews? If the single player is totally not worth i would have liked to have heard that before buying these games. It also means that their lifetime is very short.

I don't think I ever saw a review for MHtri mostly because reviews are not worth a damn for me.  I could totally understand if people have negative views of the game if they only played the single player though.
