I doubt that, it's not like they abandoned the GBA/GC audience with the DS/Wii, more like they made certain mistakes that have affected sales of these current gen devices. 3DS/Wii U both launched at much higher prices than any previous Nintendo handheld/console, both have names that make them seem like upgrades to DS/Wii instead of completely new devices, both have had pretty poor advertising in the west, both had software prices increase compared to last generation, both have had periods of droughts without big exclusive titles. If they can fix these problems with their next devices than we could easily see them returning to 100+ million sales.
