Ok, just started the first future portion of the game.
Anyway, did you guys know there was a Secret of Mana 2, which is supposedly better than the original Secret of Mana. Never came to america, but this dude actually spend several years of his life translating it.
It's called Seiken Densetsu 3.
Check out its wikipedia entry, and the gamefaqs reviews. It's got like a thousand guides on gamefaqs, based off the translation, and a lot of those guys tell me its the best SNES game I've never played.
I also scored:
Earthbound, which I never played. Reminds me of Fallout, lol.
and
Final Fantasy VI Advance. I have been wanting to check out the GBA port of FFVI, cause I heard they improved the visuals, script and modded the gameplay, and I've got to say, the game is looking pretty amazing from my first inspections of it. Definately beyond its SNES original version. Looks more like the characters are part of the background, and donsn't have that early SNES look where the numbers kinda look like they were added from an excel spreadsheet, but are more styalized. They look like they represent damage, rather than pen and paper role playing, that's the only way I can explain it. Much more modern.
Anyway, back to Chrono Trigger. I'll give you a personal screenshot, in a few, lol.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
