I just went in guns blazing and was fine. Didn't die once on Hard mode. The AI isn't really formidable with the reflex mode hax.
I didn't know this at the time, but apparently you can turn off independent of difficulty settings. When I get around to actually playing MGS5, I'm definitely turning all that off. Literally makes the game a cake walk with them on. I'm sure turning the training wheels off will fix that, though.
I thought the cutscenes were really cool even though there wasn't much story there. I've never played any of the games, but I know the running plot to the series roughly so I'm not really worried about getting lost.
I always hear people talking about how complicated the control schemes are for these games, but this one felt pretty simple to get a playing understanding of. I don't know if they standardized the control scheme or something, but it aside from some tiny quirks, it only took me like 5 minutes to get used to all the controls I used in the demo.
Everything felt solid. (sorry) I liked the controls. I like how the combat felt. I pretty much killed everyone, so I don't know how the stealth is because I clearly didn't need it. It was just a solid (sorry) demo. I'm still not excited for the game, but since my friend will have it anyway, and I didn't hate it, there's no reason for me not to play it.
