Only way this topic makes sense to me is if Shadow of Mordor was written as a short novella by a fan and submitted it to Tolkien in hopes of getting his stamp of approval and possible publication. At any rate, it would fall flat simply by virtue of fleshing out Mordor in any way contrary to his vision (even if it didn't contradict anything published at that point). Also, I imagine there'd be a discussion about how Gollum couldn't possibly be involved in this story, as in Tolkien's internal canon he's doing something else somewhere else at that time. He'd probably ask what historical inspirations brought about The Tower, The Hammer, and The Black Hand. Also, where's Tom Bombadil.
