Has A New Metroid 3DS Game Been Accidentally Revealed By Nintendo?

I think we may have a Metroid Prime and Fusion situation, with a new prime style metroid for Wii U and a new 2D Metroid for 3DS. Nintendo basically came out and said that Metroid would come in these two forms next.
