Being a man of action and being married for a decade already, I'm really bad in giving any romantic advice.
Let's say that when you're young (and why not older too) just hit it and don't plan further. What happens, happens. You might get burned or you don't. If you do, move on; you're going to find someone anyway so that you're happy you broke up with the ex.
