I still would have rather had a different stage. That stage makes it easier to get away in the air. MetaKnight ground game is lame outside of his tornado, down smash, and forward tilt. You can't guide people off that stage or anything. I think it puts MetaKnight at a disadvantage.

Metaknight shouldn't be spending that much time on the ground IMO. I liked your Drill Rushes though. You almost always got me with them and it didn't feel like you overused them (those two might be related).
