Publishers releasing games on last gen consoles was the right choice.

A lot of criticism was thrown at publishers for releasing last gen version of their games this year, and with the front loaded sales of this gens consoles (excluding wiiu). it felt that that criticism was justified, but a look at the numbers show that publishers had a point releasing PS360 version of their biggest games.

 

here is a look at some numbers.

 

1.27 million of sales are on PS360, that is quite a lot.

2.67 million sales for watch dogs on PS360. pretty big sales, also intersting to see the PS3 version top the xb1 version.

Majority of 2015 games dont have 7th gen version, the biggiest two that do are Mortal Kombat X, which is releasing in a few months, and Tomb Raider which is releasing at the end of the year. is the right decision made by releasing 7th gen versions of these games?
