John Fox out in Denver.

Fuck YES.

Good move always though he was somewhat overrated as a coach hopefully they can find someone better.

I never liked the hiring of Fox since day one. He's too conservative and makes shitty 4th down calls. Also, as we've learned the last four seasons, he's not a great motivator either. Tebow must have been his wet dream. A QB whose style of play welcomes runs and punts.

Denver came out flat against Baltimore in 2012 and Fox had by far imho his worst game in Denver making decisions. They came out flat in the Super Bowl last season, were not prepared for the crowd noise, and even punted down by almost thirty on Seattle's side of the field. They came out flat against the Colts offensively and defensively, and he again made shitty 4th down calls. He just can't coach the team up. I would have LOVED for Rex Ryan to have held on another week or so and get this job with Gase or another offensive guy running the offense. The locker room would love him and he fires his players up.

I would also love Gary Kubiak being named the coach. He is by far the best offensive mind "available" imho, even though he has said he is staying in Baltimore. But a lot of this rides on whether Peyton is coming back. I honestly can't see Elway canning the entire coaching staff if Peyton was coming back. He'll be 39 or so next season, I doubt he wants to start fresh with a new offensive coordinator.

Then again, this could be the wrinkle and change that keeps Peyton around and keeps him interested in the offseason. I expect them to hire someone aggressive who will pander to whatever Peyton wants, assuming he sticks around.
