Kirby stopped been about a selling reason for Nintendo platforms a long time ago so it became a game that DEPENDS on the size of the userbase ...

i love these people who make ridiculous claims like kirby will not sell 500k. only two times has a kirby title ever sold less than 500k. and both of those titles (kirby block ball and kirby star stacker) were spin-offs. i mean, even kirby's dream course (kirby golf basically) sold 600k.. tilt n' tumble sold 1.3m... kirby, in any flavor, is a reliable mid-list goldmine for nintendo.
