considering sony hasnt made money before and could keep running its business this defentially huge extra money for them. If 40 million will be subscribed that could make away the current loses of 2 billion

Nope, Even if they had 100 million subcribers it wouldn't be enough to cover the losses, because revenue doesn't equal profit and the business sections that cause losses will continue to do so in the future, unless Sony brings the cat on the table and sells all of the non-profitable sections...

nope. only 2 billion loses every year, 40 million could liqidate that, its a fact

40 million times 40 equals to 1.6 billion, but that's only the revenue.

40 million times 4 equals to 160 million in profit.

How's that gonna cover 2 billion in losses? :D

ps+ costs 50$/€

do you know how much sony makes from ps+? do you know their bussines model? nope.

most of the times their plus games are their own games anyways or some indie games. Given that the ps4 is just out yet there wont be any free AAA games for long time but people allready are buying it because of the multiplayer mendatory. They probably make 80% profits from this service and unlike MS they were never reliant and could subsidize free online play before without any loses in the Playstation devision.

Sony and the Playstation brand will make huge profits and save the entire company, PS+ subscribtion is just one of many many factors

Sometimes the price goes from fifty to thirty dollars/euros a year.

Do you honestly think that games like Far Cry 2 or Injustice: Gods Among Us won't cost Sony anything? Third party developers won't just give away freebies for minimal paycheck and according to my calculations there are far more third party AAA titles as PS+ freebies than Sony's own AAA titles.

True I don't know how Sony handles their business, but I study in business school and nobody makes 80% profit out of their revenue, unless they don't pay taxes and rip off their employees/business partners. 10% profit is much closer to truth and even that might be slightly optimistic.

Saying they get 80% profit from PS+ is like saying they get 80% profit from every console that they sell...
