**Halo CE post**

Great post, I think it describes pretty well why Halo CE is the best choice here. I know "revolutionary" is not exactly synonymous with "influential", but being the first to introduce or popularise attributes that became standards is a good indicator of a revolutionary game (and a better one than "this game is really good").

For example Super Mario Galaxy is a game is one of my favourites and I'd probably put it above Halo CE if this was "Which was the best game", but I don't know what was especially "revolutionary" about it (as in the most revolutionary of the century), and haven't really seen an explanation in this thread so far. I mean pretty much all of these options are somewhat revolutionary games which is why they were shortlisted, and Galaxy was certainly revolutionary for the Mario series, but I'd struggle to identify what it did that was really different or transformative - e.g. something that caught on in other games that you could point to and say "that's because Super Mario Galaxy revolutionised things", or some feature that makes it completely unlike what came before. The gravity mechanics maybe? (I'm genuinely interested in what makes people think it's the most revolutionary game, it is one of the greatest games of its generation surely but I am struggling to think of a case for it being the most revolutionary game).
