Nintendo currently has 10 projects in the work in co-operation with third party studios for 2015. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=195608 This is not counting games like Bravely Second, Youkai Watch or Monster Hunter. Only third party studios where Nintendo is heavily invested with. |
That's a start, but they have to do much much more to make their platforms attractive for third parties.
For example: the Wii was the first console Telltale games ported their games to: Strongbad, Sam & Max, Tales of Monkey Island, Back to the Future, CSI... since than Telltale has added one platform after the other (360... PS3... iOS... Android... Vita... PS4... Xbox One...) and never cut support to any of these platforms.
But since 2011 they are avoiding Nintendo platforms like cancer. So why no Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones or Tales of the Borderlands for WiiU or some older series for 3DS in stereoscopic 3D (most Telltale games look great in 3D)? Can't be a hardware issue, these games are not very demanding.
