I had a lot of inspiration from 3 threads here (the "Battlefield was almost a Nintendo Exclusive", my "Would you buy Nintendo consoles if their characters were more Mature", and all the Wii U is dying what can be done" threads) and the movie "Lone Survivor" (I just saw it recently, AWESOME movie and my third fave war movie).
Imagine Nintendo making a EXCLUSIVE Military FPS with a GREAT Story mode and an ever better Online multiplayer. Custom to use the gamepad at it's MAXIMUM comfortability (Nintendo make the best games when implentmenting it's controllers, so it's been done before). It would be great because the gamepad has a built in mic already. And maybe they could come up with some new innovations involving the gamepas as well?
Also, would Nintendo fans buy it? I say if it has at least a 12 hour story mode that's epic (as opposed to the 6-8 hour COD story modes that almost don't make sense), along with a strong Multiplayer mode, I'm game. And also if they just come out with a sequel to it every 2-3 years instead of EVERY EFFING YEAR like CoD (that's why every CoD game since Modern Warfare 2 feels RUSHED), to ensue quality, I see something working.
And will it also capture those in the CoD audience? I feel that Nintendo can REALLY make a game that even they will enjoy and give them something they have never seen before. And for those naysayers that say Nintendo can't make a GREAT FPS, they can hire a company to make it and produce it (Like Rareware to Goldeneye and Retrostudios to Metroid Prime).
I for one would buy it, any other of my Nintendo brethren? And those who don't own a Wii U, would you be interested in at least playing it?
EDIT: Everyone is saying Devil's Third is like that. But Devil's Third looks REALLY different from COD. People like clones of things, and Devils Third looks too different from a Military FPS. To me it looks more like Duke Nukem OG Clone.
