The thread has been derailed enough, but a few quick points:

Sony secured Crash Bandicoot and other PS1 titles by offering favourable publishing deals, and they didn't have to pay for exclusivity of GTA on PS2 either. As a matter of fact, R* offered GTA3 to Microsoft and THEY TURNED IT DOWN. If you have evidence to prove moneyhatting in any of the cases you cite, I suggest you present it rather than just making stuff up (which you have clearly done).

Sony paid Rockstar for exclusvity. It's common knowledge. You continue to prove my point with your baseless arguments. The main reason everyone was surprised that GTAIV was going to be a simultaneous release was because Sony had always paid for exclusvity before. As soon as the exclusvity deal expired Rockstar release GTA3 and Vice City on X-box as the Grand Theft Auto Double Pack. The Double Pack released 2 years after GTA3 on PS2 and 1 year after Vice City on PS2. Sony paid for a 12 month exclusivity on GTA3 and Vice City and 6 month exclusivity on San Andreas. San Andreas released on October 26, 2004 for PS2 and June 7, 2005 on X-box. Its the internet, if you aren't going to the research don't post and make yourself look foolish.

The PS3's library is definitely not more FPS heavy than the 360's. Aside from Resistance I can't think of a single one that isn't also on 360. Again, what is the relevance of PS3 JRPGs to the 360's library?

Its called diversity. As in, I can get more types of games in more genres on my 360 than I could on a PS3. The only genre that is lacking on 360 is the platformer genre, the only game I believe is available is Kameo: Elements of Power. Of course the only platformer I recall being released on PS3 is Ratchet & Clank so its the PS3 isn't exactly diverse in the genre eithers. If a console is completely barren in a certain genre JRPGs for example, it automatically makes that consoles library heavier in every other genre.

Posting pictures of faulty PSPs won't increase the failure rate, or prevent me from being correct. The PS1+2+P were all within normal failure rates for electronic products. Not that anecdotal evidence means anything, but I don't know a single person with any of them that failed within the manufacturers warranty; I know of at least 10 RRoDs. If you can find factual evidence of failure rates exceeding normal levels, I would be happy to back down. If you can find factual evidence of failure rates for any of them getting close to the failure rates of the 360, I will give you all my money and proclaim you a living god.

This isn't anecdotal

DMC4 was multiplatform and therefore irrelevant, HSG and R&C have never been big sellers and certainly were not expected by any rational party to make the PS3 dominate. None of those franchises has ever broken 3 million, even on a platform with an install base in excess of 100 million.

Tell that to half of the Sony fanboy contingent on this vary site that continually said other wise until the said games didnt' turn around the PS3's fortunes. Even now victims of SSMS point to MGS4 turning around the PS3's fortunes in Japan when the MGS series has never been a huger seller and has pushed the most units in the west. Don't get me started on Killzone 2.

The Playstation Analog Stick was unveiled in August 1995 and released April 1996, two months before the release of the N64.

Okay that is flat out lie. The Dual Shock controller released neared the end 1997 in Japan and in May of 1998 in the US both dates are well after the N64 was released.

I had no intention of listing Sony's many contributions to the gaming world, my example of the Eyetoy was intended to demonstrate ASS MS, which it unquestionably achieved.

They Eyetoy was a rip off the Dream Eye which released for the Dreamcast.

I suspect that your examples of Sony "mocking" motion controls, hard drives, and online play are largely the product of your imagination.

You suspect, in others word you could disprove what I was saying so you that is all you could come up with. At least you didn't flat out lie like you did about the Dual Shock, GTA's paid exclusivity, etc.

In conclusion, don't bother arguing with me because you aren't good enough at it. I feel dirty for even responding in this case. And apologies to the OP for stinking up your thread.

Actually you should refrain from debating with me. If you are going to make an argument with easily disproved lies you shouldn't waste my time.

[Incidentally, the only Playstation I own is a PSX that only works if you turn it upside down.]
