I do think people coming in and saying it's a Vita game or a PS3 game sound like snobs, btw. It's like once you say something looks really nice a bunch of negative nancies have to come in and put it down. One thing Splatoon certainly has going for it is charm...and that's something you don't find very often these days outside of Nintendo. Granted...that's not most people's first priority when it comes to picking up a game...but it goes a long way with this gamer. |
Yeah I'm sure that was it. It was actually my favorite new map shown in the trailer. The inklings had winter gear on and I thought it all looked really cool and although the enviornment is semi-relasitic, somehow it works when you watch the video.
People are going to be negative about anything that doesn't fit their mold. Splatoon is a new IP by Nintendo exclusive to the Wii U, so people who don't like any one of those things is gonna hate on it for whatever reason. I mean, this game isn't even finished yet and they're saying it looks old compared to cutscene clips of a Ratchet & Clank game, lol.
