I still don't understand how people think you can have a padless version? It's so much more than a Kinect equivalent. It's more like having a wii without motion controls.

It's not that hard to think about it, seriously, launch the "Wii Slim/orwhatever" and make the Pad a peripheral, have games like Nintendo Land, the new Kirby, the Bowser mode in Mario Party 10, and the probably 1st person mode on the new Star Fox being GamePad exclusive, that's enough incentive for people to buy one separately, well, some people, that doesn't include me as I detest the thing, and any useless gimmicks Nintendo and its fanboys try to pass out as innovative.

Also, I would've fucking loved a Wii without motion controls.

A Wii without motion controls would have been a terrible idea. Lets release a new console that is only slightly more powerful and offer no new innovation to offset the minimal update.

On topic:

The Wii U is a fantastic console and I hope that you enjoy what it has to offer. Other people have suggested some excellent titles already. I can't think of other titles over the top of my head that have not been mentioned.

In retrospect, yeah, I over-exagerated, having the Wii being underpowered and without the only thing that made it unique would've just sucked. That said, I still can't use motion controls for shit, I can't stand the pointer n' stuff.

I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy the Wii U once I get my hands on it, but I have pretty much decided that I won't support Nintendo until they learn to adapt to the times and at least attempt to reclaim the crown they once had.

I'm now filled with determination.
