Xbox had a massive price cut to push sales this holiday period ( naysayers it was near a fire sale tbh original price of $400 lowered to as low as $300 to $330 along with two games and sometimes a gift card is an insane price slash no way around and 1 year in ......... thats never been done )

It was too gain momentum, which it did. However now that momentum may plummet now the price is up with the reasoning of waiting it out for the xb1 price to crash down again and then pick it up OR it could have pushed sales so much that it could have lead to the snowball effect , however as it stands if the price remains as it is THIS year I think ps4 can beat ( yes even with Halo 5 coming , say what you like but the fps overcrowding + halo 4 multiplaer + MCC issues have damaged halo's FPS dominance and power and people haven't realized that with TLOU and TLOU: R , ND can counter Halo 5 pretty well with Uncharted 4 )

Aside from halo their exclsusive line up for this year doesn't have a power system seller ( TR isn't that popular on the xb platform and while QB may be amazing , it's a new game releasing in q3 ( a bit crowded ) to a dev that hasn't had spectacular sales ,and ps4 seem to be enjoying 3rd party boosts more this gen.

So I am wondering what you guys think :

XB need more games for this year

Do Ms need to lower the price

(Also Now people are telling me it's only 3rd parties avaialble , there is truth in thst but it isnt an excuse as 3rd parties have the console in stock and at a lower than normal price)

I think the error people are making are to say that MS is in trouble because of relative sales. The X1 is selling fantastically - it's on a notably better pace than the 360. Noone things the 360 was a failure. But the Wii ran away with last gen quite early. There seems little MS could do to actually win the generation, too many countries simple prefer the PS brand. (Last generation showed this clearly - the 360 had the substantially better lineup, and price, across the board for the first two years, and it's advantage was stil minimal)

What MS needs to do is accept that they won't win the generation, and just make the right decisons to focus on a successful product. The 360 and PS3 had basically a tie for units sold, but the 360 had more more software, peripheral, and online sales. Overall, a much more profitable product. The X1 will not be as profitable as the Ps4 this generation, but if they can maintain similar sales ratios from last gen, the financial gap shouldn't be as large (percentage-wise) as the install gap.
