The game looks good, screenshots don't do the game justice. The graphics are vastly improved over Double Dash. The retro tracks like Sorbet Land (the N64 course Frappy Snowland was in the DS version) are done like that on purpose.

Frustrating in regards to what exactly? GP mode? People disconnecting online? Something else? 

In attacking and finishing off your components. The worst frustration I had was... close to the finish and "bam" another darn blue shield which drew away me from winning *grrr*.
