It depends to me. One on one, bare handed, in closed space, Spiderman DESTROY Batman and drink his blood.

In a big city where the objective is to find the other one, trap him ect... Batman would win since he is smarter than Spiderman.

Bare handed in open space, with any gadjet you want... Close one, but Spiderman would take it. Spiderman is faster, better reflexes, and much more powerful. One punch from Spiderman at full power and Batman is dead.

Batman isn't smarter than Spider-man.  He's probably etter at dectectivey stuff though.  If Spider-man didn't was like Batman and just really focussed his energies 100% on crimefighting, he'd probably be as good a strategist as Batman, but he doesn't.

Still, Spider-man's Spidersense neutralizes a lot of what Batman could due to trick him.  Stealth is Batman's best asset, and it won't work here.  Batman won't really be able to hit Spider-man, and if he did, it would take at least a few solid shots to make an impact, even with Bats matial arts skills.  Spider-man on the other hand can score a KO with one hit.

Point is in a fight, Spider-man would win basically any time any place.  Unless you did something particularly to stack the deck in Batman's favor, it's an easy fight.

As far as characters, I like Spider-man better.  Batman can be interesting with the right writer, but I just can't relate to him.  There's nothing about the character I could really understand or sympathize with.  Spider-man seems more real and relatable.  Like any comic character he's suffered some bad writing, but he's still a better character to me.
