Ok, the ps4 numbers are sell through to customers... but that doesn't change the fact that the wii was sold out, and the ps4 isnt. What I find funny, is that you were so adamant about the whole ps4 sell through numbers, that I find it funny you are now pushing shipped numbers... if they both shipped 20 million, I think there's very little doubt that the wii sold more. It was sold out after all... anyone can go into a store for months now, and buy a ps4, but the same couldn't be said for the wii. You can't argue that. It's clear, the wii sold more... just accept it.

I'm not "pushing" shipped numbers nor am I having trouble accepting anything. I'm doing basic math and using common sense. If the PS4 sold 18.5 million units as of Jan 4, it should have shipped close to 20 million in that same time frame. So, as I said earlier, unless you think the PS4 has sold through all of its current shipment, it should be right at the same shipped amount as the previous market leader.

Lets just all wait for shipped numbers in a context where lies and deception are not acceptable, i.e. the quarterly financials.

Both Microsoft and Sony, and to a lesser extent Sony, have been so dodgy this generation with wording around shipped and sold-through that we just don't actually know what they mean until they are legally required to tell us.

No sense arguing too vehemently about small differences until then.
