The Wii was not sold out everywhere for a couple of years (though through '09, there were rough times finding them in different places). Furthering that, I find it ironic that you'll call Wii's shipped numbers: "essentially sold", but firmly claimed that the PS4's numbers are shipped, even when it was stated and re-stated that they were sold-through. Bottom line, the Wii shipped 20 million in the same amount of time the PS4 sold 18.5 million to consumers. Unless you believe the PS4 has sold-through all of its shipment, then it probably has shipped about the same amount. |
Ok, the ps4 numbers are sell through to customers... but that doesn't change the fact that the wii was sold out, and the ps4 isnt. What I find funny, is that you were so adamant about the whole ps4 sell through numbers, that I find it funny you are now pushing shipped numbers... if they both shipped 20 million, I think there's very little doubt that the wii sold more. It was sold out after all... anyone can go into a store for months now, and buy a ps4, but the same couldn't be said for the wii. You can't argue that. It's clear, the wii sold more... just accept it.
