Why do you feel the need to get one if there is literally no need for you to get one?

Because everyone and their dead grandmoms are getting one. Peer pressure is a BETCH!

Another reason why I considered it is maybe everyone is getting it for a reason I don't know. Hence why I wanted to be educated (Like a MAJOR exclusive for it not going to be on PS3). Another thing I wanted to know is if I can play 3D movies on the PS4 if I have a 3D TV. I bought a PS3 initially ONLY as a Blu-Ray player but when my X360 RRODed on me it was a god send...

Make a price list of what price you put on peer pressure depending on the number and status of those people. Compare the price with that of a PS4.^^

But let me tell you this. If you enjoy your PS3 there will definitely come a time when there are games you can only play on PS4. A new console is an investment and if you had fun with the previous console you will definitely get your fun out of the new one. For me it doesn't really matter if I buy a console at launch or a bit later for 100 bucks less. Because 100 bucks is a tiny fraction of what the console and its games will cost me lifetime. If you have the money, buy it now. Even if it gathers dust, the time will definitely come where you will have to use it and then it's already there and ready.
