As to you people not wanting or being excited for the game, that's completely your business, but for saying it is barely exercise, I have it and some of my friends and I play it, and we can get at least a bit of a workout from some sections. When you first get it and most things have yet to be unlocked, you may not get a very good workout, but once you've unlocked them, I think you could find something that you could work on and get exercise. I will admit that I don't use it everyday and haven't really used it as a particularly real exercise routine, but I've certainly gotten exercise and enjoyment out of it. I'm currently working on the pushup challenge against the trainer. As opposed to the section mentioned in the article posted earlier, this one is straight pushups. I think she may want me to do 50 in a row now, but yesterday I had a few hours of karate classes, so I'm a little too sore to do it today. Maybe on the weekend I'll complete it, but it looks like there is at least one more level to the challenge after the current one. Anyhow, the board could make an interesting addition to other games and I'm waiting to see what they do with it, if anything, beyond just sports games. Though I get the feeling I read something about one before, but I have some other things to take care of tonight. |
What is there besides pushups that you could easily do without a board? If Wiifit is supposed to be used as an exercise program (something that Miyamoto said was not true), then I'd say it's not near the best thing to do. I guess it's better than doing nothing but if you want to lose some weight and get in better shape, I'd think DDR is a better purchase. It's cheaper, too. Maybe the activities are really fun, and in that case, it might be a fun game overall. I just don't see it as a good exercise program. However, my girlfriend also wanted it so I suppose it's another one of those games that is good to play with girls that aren't usually videogame players (although you can't play at the same time I assume...correct me if I'm wrong). However, girls also like DDR, Warioware, Rock Band, etc...
